Tartare sauce

Will accompany most fish dishes
 

 
 
 

Ingredients

  • 150ml mayonnaise
  • Tbsp capers, finely chopped
  • 1tbsp gherkin, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 shallot, finely diced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Will accompany most fish dishes, the best known being ‘Fish & Chips’! Also home-made fish cakes.

  1. Whack it all in a bowl, mix it together and season to taste with salt and pepper. Store in the fridge in an air-tight container.
